The memory of this great apostle and evangelist is celebrated on September 26. But on May 8, the miracle that occurred from his tomb is commemorated. When John was over a hundred years old, he took seven of his disciples, left Ephesus, and ordered the disciples to dig a tomb in the shape of a cross. Then the elder descended alive into that tomb and was buried. When they later opened John's faithful tomb, they found no body in the tomb. And on May 8 every year, a certain dust rose from his tomb, from which the sick of various diseases were healed.
