Calendar for November 11 Saint Abraham the Prisoner
From the city of Tenia, in Mysia, in Asia Minor. His parents forced him to marry, but he left his bride, his parents and his home, and went away on a great adventure. He spent 50 years in the feat. During that time, he came out of his cell only twice: the first time, at the command of the bishop in charge, to convert a heathen village to the faith of Christ, and the second time to save his wayward niece Maria. At the age of seven, Maria lost her father and her friends brought her to Uncle Avrami. After 20 years of exploits, she is deceived by the devil and commits a sin. After 2 years, Avramije returned from the inn to his previous feat and - a huge repentance. Saint Avramije rested in the Lord around the year 360, and Saint Mary 5 years later.
