On the eve of the Sunday of the Holy Fathers of the First Ecumenical Council, on Saturday, May 31st, starting at 7 p.m., a solemn academy will be held in the crypt of the Cathedral of the Resurrection of Christ in Podgorica to mark the 1700th anniversary of the First Ecumenical Council in Nicaea.
The welcoming address will be delivered by His Eminence Archbishop of Cetinje, Metropolitan of Montenegro and the Littoral, Mr. Joanikije, while the sermon will be delivered by Archpriest Blagoje Rajković, rector of the Theological Seminary of St. Peter of Cetinje in Cetinje.
The cultural and artistic program will feature the Choir of the Holy Apostle and Evangelist Mark from Podgorica, the Choir of the Holy Mother Angelina from Nikšić, folk guslar Maksim Vojvodić and vocal soloist Tijana Vučetić.
His Eminence Archbishop of Cetinje, Metropolitan of Montenegro and the Littoral, Mr. Joanikije, and His Grace Bishop of Diocletia, Mr. Paisijes, will celebrate the Holy Liturgy on Sunday, June 1, in the Cathedral of the Resurrection of Christ, starting at 9 a.m.
