The Easter celebration in the churches of the Serbian Orthodox Church Municipality of Kotor began today with Matins and then the Holy Liturgy in the Church of St. Nicholas in the Old Town.
The service was officiated by the hierarchal vicar of Kotor-Tivat, the parish priest of Kotor, Archpriest – Stavrophor Nemanja Krivokapić, with the concelebration of Archpriest – Stavrophor Milenko Jekić, Archpriest Nenad Kalem and Priest Vojislav Mijatović, and singing by the choir of the Serbian Singing Society “Jedinstvo” (1839) Kotor.
The Easter Epistle of the Serbian Orthodox Church was read at the Liturgy, and numerous believers received the Holy Sacrament of Communion, to whom consecrated Easter eggs were then distributed.
