In the Church of St. Nicholas, the feast of the Mother was liturgically celebrated today, which is part of the three-week cycle of feasts celebrated before Christmas: Children – Mothers – Fathers.
Mothers are at the center of this cycle, just as the mother is at the center of the family, as the guardian of the hearth and family love, as the one who connects everything, as a bond and a spiritual bridge, since she is called to this by her appointment.
The mother is the bond of children and fathers, but also of the family and Christ, the entire family is centered around her and on her spiritual maturity of age. She does all this according to the icon of the Mother of God, who is the bond of the earthly and the heavenly, the ladder along which souls ascend to Christ. However, this is not only a holiday of physical motherhood, but also of spiritual motherhood, so we congratulate mothers, grandmothers, nuns, spiritual mothers, godmothers, sisters in the flesh and the Spirit on this holiday. This is a holiday of women who care for every child and person with love, as for a child of God.
At the Liturgy, which was served by the hierarchal governor of Kotor - Tivat, the parish priest of Kotor, archpriest - stavrophor Nemanja Krivokiapić, numerous believers received the Holy Sacrament of Communion.
