Metropolitan Joanikije presented the Order of Saint Peter II, the Secret Seer of Lovcen, to Đorđe and Nada Momirović in Belgrade
His Eminence Archbishop of Cetinje and Metropolitan of Montenegro and the Littoral, Mr. Joanikije, on May 17, 2025, awarded Mr. Đorđe and Mrs. Nada Momirović from Belgrade with the Order of Saint Peter II, the Secret Seer of Lovcen, first degree, for their long-standing active love for the Serbian Orthodox Church, and especially as co-founders and patrons of the "Izviiskra Njegoševa" literary award.
The "Izviiskra Njegošev" literary award was established on the feast of Saint Basil of Ostrog, May 12, 2007, by the Diocese of Budimlje-Niksic, headed by the then Bishop of Budimlje-Niksic, and today's Metropolitan of Montenegro and the Littoral, Mr. Joaniki, and the "MONA" company.
The award bears the original name of Njegoš's "Mountain Wreath" - the bishop and ruler of Montenegro, the greatest Serbian poet and philosopher of freedom.
"Izviiskra Njegoševa" is awarded every other year for the best book, collected or selected works and for the author's life's work written in the Serbian language, regardless of the territory where it was written, and is organized under the auspices of the Metropolitanate of Montenegro and the Littoral, the Diocese of Budimlje and Nikšić and the company "Mona".
