Patriarch Porfirije spoke with the president of the Board of Directors of the International Orthodox Charitable Organization
His Holiness the Serbian Patriarch Mr. On October 25, 2024, Porfirje spoke at the Patriarchal Palace in Belgrade with Mrs. Jasmina Teodor Boulange, President of the Board of Directors of the International Orthodox Charity Organization (IOCC).
Patriarch Porfirije thanked Mrs. Boulange for her visit, as well as for the effort and contribution she is making in the cause of solidarity with the Serbian people in Kosovo and Metohija.
Ms. Boulange introduced Patriarch Porphyry to the projects being implemented in Kosovo and Metohija, asking His Holiness' blessing for further humanitarian activities through which the self-sustainable economy of the Serbian people in Kosovo Pomoravlje is developed.
The meeting was attended by: Nenad Prelevic, MSc, regional representative of the International Orthodox Charity Organization for the Western Balkans; His Eminence the Bishop of Novobrd, Mr. Hilarion, Vicar of the Serbian Patriarch; archpriest Đorđe Stojisavljević, head of the Cabinet of the Serbian Patriarch; and Ms. Olivera Jovanović, editor-in-chief of Pravoslavlja.
The International Orthodox Christian Charities (IOCC) based in the United States of America has been operating for over thirty years around the world in solidarity with peoples regardless of religion and nation. In our region, the work of that organization is focused on helping Kosovo and Metohija. During the wars of the nineties, they opened an office in Belgrade, and today they also have offices in Podgorica and Banja Luka.
