The miraculous icon of the Most Holy Theotokos “Softening of Evil Hearts” was solemnly welcomed this morning at the Russian Church of the Holy Trinity in Belgrade.
Numerous faithful people in a long column in peace and prayerful silence arrived at the great shrine displayed in the central part of the Russian church on Tašmajdan, where the Holy Liturgy was served by Archpriest-Staurophor Vitaly Tarasyev, head of the Courtyard of the Moscow Patriarchate in Belgrade.
With the blessing of His Holiness the Patriarch of Serbia, Mr. Porphyria, the miraculous icon of the Most Holy Theotokos Softening of Evil Hearts, will remain in the Russian church tomorrow, Sunday, February 2, 2025, where the Divine Liturgy will be celebrated starting at 8:30 a.m.
The great shrine, which is visited by thousands of faithful throughout the day to worship and kiss, arrived in Belgrade on the occasion of the 16th anniversary of the enthronement of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia.
