Calendar for November 21 Council of the Holy Archangel Michael and Other Bodiless Powers – Archangel's Day

People have celebrated angels since ancient times, but this could turn into angel worship. The Laodicean Local Council, with its 35th rule, rejected the worship of angels and established their proper respect. Today's holiday was established in the 4th century. It is in November because it is the 9th month from March, when the world was created. And this is again because of the 9 angelic ranks. According to the book “On the Heavenly Hierarchy” by Saint Dionysius the Aeropagite, these ranks are: six-winged Seraphim, many-eyed Cherubim, God-bearing Thrones, Dominions, Powers, Authorities, Principalities, Archangels and Angels. The leader of the entire angelic army is Archangel Michael. There is perfect unanimity, unanimity, and love among the angels. Every person has his own guardian angel.
