Calendar for April 15 Venerable Titus the Wonderworker
From his youth he loved Christ the Lord and hated the vain world. For this reason he left the world, went to a monastery and received the image of an angel. Without pitying himself, he gave himself up to the sorrowful and narrow path of monasticism. Through great patience he acquired two basic virtues: humility and obedience, and in these virtues he surpassed “not only the brethren but also all people”. He had preserved the purity of soul and body from his youth. During the time of the iconoclastic heresy, he showed himself to be an unshakable pillar of the Church of God. Because of his great humility and purity, God granted him the gift of miracles both during his life and after death. And when he departed to the Lord, he left behind his numerous disciples. He reposed peacefully in the 9th century.
