Calendar for April 1st - Venerable Simeon
He was born in Cetinje in 1854. At baptism, he was named Savo. After finishing elementary school in his hometown, he continued his education at the Kyiv Theological Seminary, and then at the Spiritual Academy there, being inspired by the exploits of the Venerable Fathers of the Kyiv Lavra. In Kiev, he was ordained a monk and ordained a hieromonk. He returned to Montenegro in 1888, where he was first appointed to the Vranjina monastery, and a year later to the Ostrog monastery, where he was also a lecturer at the monastic school. After a miraculous vision, at the end of the 19th century, he started building a church at the place where the Dajbabe monastery is today. He spent the rest of his life there. He rested in the Lord on April 1, 1941. His relics are in the Dajbabe monastery.
