Then Gamalil, a secret disciple of Christ and teacher of the Apostle Paul, came and took the body of Archdeacon Stephen to his estate in Kafargamal and buried him there in a cave. There he also buried his friend Nikodim, who died crying over Stefan, and his baptized son Aviv; Gamalil was also buried there. No one knew where the grave of Saint Stephen was. And then, in 415, Gamalil appeared three times in a dream to the Kafargamal priest Lucian and told him where the four of them were buried.
