During the time of Julian the Apostate, two quarreling men took him as a judge. He ruled in favor of the right, while the other accused him of being a Christian. Emperor Eusignius summoned him to court, but he strongly rebuked him for his apostasy from the faith and rebuked him with the wonderful example of Constantine the Great. The emperor ordered his head to be cut off. Saint Eusignius suffered in 362, in great old age.
