In the third year of preaching on earth, the Lord Jesus Christ spoke to His disciples more and more often about His close suffering, but also about His glory after suffering on the cross. So that because of the announcement of His suffering, the disciples would not become completely weak and fall away from Him, the Lord partially showed them His Divine glory. And that's why he took Peter, James and John with him and with them he went out to Mount Tabor at night where he was transfigured in front of them: "and his face shone like the sun, and his clothes became white as light" (Mt. 17, 2). And Moses and Elijah, the great Old Testament prophets, appeared next to him. The Lord showed the disciples His Divine power many times, and on Tabor He also showed them His Divine nature.
