At the Second Ecumenical Council, God manifested the following miracle through him: While he was proving the dogma of the Holy Trinity to the Arians, he raised three fingers apart, and when he brought them together, light like lightning flashed from his hand. At this Council, Saint Meletius established Saint Gregory the Theologian on the throne of Constantinople. Earlier, he had ordained Saint Basil the Great as a deacon and baptized Saint John Chrysostom. He reposed in Constantinople, after the end of the Council. His relics were transferred to Antioch.
