In the 13th century, together with the icon of the Mother of God the Milk-Giver and the crucible of Saint Sava the Sanctified, according to the prophecy of this saint, it was given to Saint Sava of Serbia, who took it to Serbia. At the beginning of the 15th century, on a donkey, it arrived alone at the Hilandar monastery, where, at the end of the century, having resolved the dispute of the Hilandar brethren over the election of the abbot, it became the abbess, which it was until the end of the 20th century.
