One of the minor apostles, a native of Sevastopol, a disciple of the Holy Apostles John the Baptist and Paul. Although he was not counted among the Seventy, he was called an apostle because he was a disciple of the great apostles and because he showed apostolic zeal in the gospel ministry. Consecrated as a bishop-missionary, St. Eutychius traveled a lot. In prison, the angels of God brought him bread. When they scraped his tortured body with an iron zumba, blood flowed from it, which had an unusual, pleasant smell. Then they threw it into the fire, but suddenly there was thunder and heavy rain with snow fell from the sky and extinguished the fire. When they threw him before the lions, they became as meek as sheep before him. In the end, they cut it down, at the end of the 1st or the beginning of the 2nd century.
