CHRISTMAS CELEBRATED LITURGICALLY IN THE CHURCH OF ST. NICHOLAS IN KOTOR
The most joyful Christian holiday, the Nativity of Jesus Christ, was liturgically celebrated today in the Church of St. Nicholas in the Old Town of Kotor.
The Christmas Epistle of the Serbian Orthodox Church was read, and the liturgy, at which numerous believers received communion after a 40-day fast, was served by the hierarchal vicar of Kotor-Tivat, the parish priest of Kotor, archpriest - stavrophor Nemanja Krivokapić.
The liturgy was also attended by the president of the Kotor Community Council, Maja Mršulja, as well as the presidents of the Serbian Orthodox Church Municipality of Kotor and the Serbian Singing Society "Unity" (1839) Kotor, Miso Sekulović and Vojin Lazarević, and the director of the Kotor Community Council, Jovan Ristić.
Today at 6 pm in the Church of St. Nicholas is Vespers, and tomorrow, the second day of Christmas, at 8 am there is Matins in the Church of St. Nicholas, at 9 am there is the Holy Liturgy in the Church of St. Peter - Prčanj and at 10 am there is the Holy Liturgy in the Church of St. Luke - Kotor.
