His Eminence Archbishop of Cetinje, Metropolitan of Montenegro and the Littoral, Mr. Joanikije, on the tragedy in Kočani in North Macedonia, to His Eminence Metropolitan of Bregalnica of the Macedonian Orthodox Church - Ohrid Archbishopric, Mr. Hilarion sent a telegram of condolences with the following content:

Dear brother in Christ Hilarion,

On the occasion of the tragedy that occurred in Kočani on the evening between Saturday and Sunday, where fifty-nine young people lost their lives in a fire, and dozens more were seriously injured, please accept our sincere condolences in sorrow.

We pray to our Lord Jesus Christ, the source of eternal Life, to rest the victims, to grant speedy healing to the seriously injured, and to grant comfort to you personally, to the families of the victims, to your clergy, to the faithful of your diocese, and to all the citizens of North Macedonia in these difficult moments.
