Festive Joys in Kotor - Radio Svetigore Broadcast
The holiday of Christmas is traditionally celebrated in Kotor, in addition to numerous church services, with a series of other spiritual and cultural events.
One of them is the Christmas concert of the SPD "Jedinstvo" 1839. Kotor, which will be held this year on Sunday, December 4, starting at 6 p.m., in the Church of St. Nicholas in Kotor.
All ensembles will perform, and according to the hierarchal governor of Kotor-Tivat, Archpriest-Staurophorus Nemanja Krivokapić, as in previous years, a rich program is expected at the concert.
Christmas Day in Kotor is characterized by beautiful customs that have been carefully cultivated through generations.
Just as the feast of the Nativity of Christ is a feast of peace and love, these customs preserve the unity and love of the Orthodox community in Kotor and the surrounding area, as well as good neighborly relations with everyone.
Special attention is paid to the youngest, who, as far as Kotor is concerned, have a special time and place for lighting the children's Christmas tree.
