His Eminence Archbishop of Cetinje, Metropolitan of Montenegro and the Littoral, Mr. Joanikije, celebrated the Holy Divine Service today, on the feast of the Holy Great Martyr Panteleimon, in the Church of the Protection of the Most Holy Theotokos in Dragalj-Krivošajje on the occasion of the Tenth Council of the Samardžić Brotherhood.
His Eminence Bishop of Novo Brdo, Mr. Hilarion, Archimandrite Arsenije Samardžić, Archimandrite Benedict (Jovanović), Archpriest Stavrophor Nemanja Krivokapić, Archpriest Miajlo Backović, Priest Dušan Mihajlović, Priest Stefan Đerković and Deacon Ilija Preočanin concelebrated with the Metropolitan.
Metropolitan Joanikije blessed the slava cake and served a memorial service for those killed in the Krivosi Uprising against Austria.
After the reading of the Gospel, Metropolitan Joanikije expressed his joy at the arrival of the vicar of His Holiness Patriarch Porfiry, Bishop Hilarion - the former Dečani monk and abbot of the Draganac Monastery, and gave him the floor.
