The feast of the Holy Prophet Elijah was celebrated in the Church of St. Nicholas in Kotor.

At the Holy Liturgy, with the communion of the faithful, the following served: the archpriest vicar of Kotor - Tivat, the parish priest of Kotor, Archpriest Nemanja Krivokapić, Archpriest Stavrophor Milenko Jekić and priest Milivoj Bakić.

The holy liturgy today, on the feast of the Holy Prophet Elijah, was also served in the Church of Saint Vasilij Ostorski in Dobrota.

About Holy Prophet Elijah: "On Horiv he talked with God and heard the voice of God in a quiet, bright breeze. Before his death, he took Elisha and designated him as his successor in the prophetic calling; he cut the water in the Jordan with his cloak; and finally he would be taken to heaven in a fiery chariot with fiery horses. On Tabor, together with Moses, he appeared to our Lord Jesus Christ. Before the end of the world, Elijah will appear again to suppress the power of the Antichrist (Revelation of John 11)".
