MEMORIAL TO THE VICTIMS OF CRIMINAL ACTIONS LIGHTNING AND STORM
Today, on the day of commemoration of St. Marije Magdaline, on August 4, 29 years have passed since the criminal military action of the Croatian army and police "Storm", in which more than 220,000 Serbs were expelled from their centuries-old hearths in the territory of the Republic of Croatia under the protection of the UN.
At that time, aggression was carried out on the territory of the Republic of Serbian Krajina, i.e. northern Dalmatia, Lika, Kordun and Bania.
In just 48 hours, the area of the former Republika Srpska Krajina was ethnically clean.
The families of the victims are still seeking justice.
In the Church of St. Nicholas in Kotor's Old Town, today, after the Liturgy, a memorial service was held for the victims of the criminal operations "Bljesak" and "Storm".
