In the Kotor church of St. Nicholas today is liturgically celebrated St. Great Martyr Dimitrije. The holy liturgy was served by archpriest Nenad Kalem and priest Vojislav Mijatović. As the patron saint of Thessaloniki, St. Dimitrije saved this city many times. In Russia, he is considered the protector of Siberia. On the day of the Holy Great Martyr Demetrius in 1996, our Reverend Bishop Irinej said: "This is a saint who sealed his loyalty to God with his life, and that means - his love for Him and for His Church, his neighbors." The fact that he was a soldier by profession did not prevent him from being filled with the spirit of love during his life. But for him, likewise, no earthly glory - or the appearance of an earthly career, success and prosperity - darkened his spiritual vision: before his spiritual eyes he never lost sight of the glory of God and the beauty of the Kingdom of God.
