RECEPTION OF RELIGIOUS OFFICIALS ON THE OCCASION OF NOVEMBER 21
The President of the Kotor Municipality Assembly, Maja Mršulja, with the Chief Administrator, Marina Bjelja, and the Secretary for Culture, Sports and Social Activities, Tatjana Kriještorac, on the occasion of the Day of the Municipality of Kotor and Our Lady of Health and Arandjelov's Day, organized a reception for religious dignitaries, archpriest Nemanja Krivokapić, archbishop of Kotor-Tivat and Don Roberto Tonsati, chancellor of the Kotor diocese.
It is a traditional reception on the eve of city holidays and religious festivals, which rounds off the symbolism of November 21 in the most beautiful way, confirming Kotor's coexistence and harmony, which have been shaped by citizens of different national and religious affiliations for centuries.
At the meeting, the importance of nurturing multi-confessionalism and multiculturalism in Kotor was highlighted, and the fruitful cooperation of the Municipality of Kotor with the Serbian Orthodox Church Municipality of Kotor and the Diocese of Kotor was highlighted.
Due to his earlier commitments, the main imam for Boka Kotorska and Budva, Effendi Meho Martinović, was unable to attend the reception, who sent a congratulatory message on the occasion of the Day of the Municipality of Kotor.
"Kotor has always inherited coexistence and tolerance among people. I heartily congratulate the leadership, councilors and all citizens of Kotor on the Municipal Day in front of the Majlis of the Islamic Community for Boka Kotorska and Budva and on my own behalf. I wish the mayor of Kotor has always inherited coexistence and tolerance among people ."
