THE EPIGANIZATION CELEBRATED LITURGICALLY IN THE CHURCH OF ST. NIKOLE IN KOTOR

Today on Epiphany to the faithful people at the Holy Liturgy in the Church of St. Nikola was addressed by the archpriest of Kotor-Tivat, parish priest of Kotor, archpriest-stavrofor Nemanja Krivokapič.
He said that today's holiday is a testimony of God Almighty appearing to us people here on earth.
"God, who created both heaven and earth, came down to save us humans, to deliver us from death and to give us eternal life. On this day, we celebrate the event when the Lord Jesus Christ, before the beginning of the sermon, was baptized in the Jordan by John. Then God appeared in three persons, as the Holy Trinity. That is our Orthodox faith," said Fr. Nemanja.
He reminded that in the New Testament God appeared as the Holy Trinity and that today's holiday is a pure manifestation of the truth. The truth that the God in whom we believe is the Holy Trinity - Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
"Just as God sanctified nature, on this day, by the grace of the Holy Spirit, this ordinary water turns into holy water, it becomes incorruptible and holy, and this blessing of God is a miracle that happens every year before our eyes. May the Lord God grant that this Epiphany water will be for our salvation and eternal life this year as well. God will come," said Fr. Nemanja greeted the faithful people with the words "really come".
