The Intercession of the Most Holy Theotokos, the temple slava of the church at the city cemetery in Škaljari, was liturgically celebrated today with Matins, and then with the Holy Liturgy with a procession and the fumigation of the graves.
Officiating were Archpriest – Stavrophor Milenko Jekić, Archpriest Nenad Kalem and Priest Vojislav Mijatović.
According to the old Kotor custom, instead of the Michaelmas All-Mourning Mass on Saturday, October 11, the first autumn services were held today on the day of the Intercession of the Most Holy Theotokos, only at the city cemetery in Šlaljari.
The second autumn All Souls' Day (Mitrovice), which this year falls on November 1, is held at the cemeteries in Dobrota (Church of St. Basil of Ostrog) and Prčanje (Church of St. Peter of Cetinje).
