Calendar for July 6 The Holy Martyr Agrippina
She was born and raised in Rome. From childhood she lived according to the Gospel, banishing the stench of passion from her heart and filling it with the fragrance of virgin purity. As the bride of Christ, she suffered during the time of Emperor Valerian. They beat her with rods until her bones were broken. Then they stripped her of her clothes and chained her. But an angel of God appeared to her and strengthened her. When they continued to torture her, she gave up her soul to the Lord. Her companions Vasa, Pauna and Agathonica transferred her relics to Sicily and buried them there. A church dedicated to her was later built there. Countless miracles occurred over the relics of Saint Agrippina. Even the Hagarians were returned from the city. Saint Agrippina suffered for Christ God in the year 275.
