Calendar for May 30 - Holy Apostle Andronicus and Junia
Saint Andronikos was one of the Seventy, a relative of the apostle Paul who writes: "Greet Andronikos and Junia, my relatives, and my companions in captivity, who are famous among the apostles, who believed in Christ even before me" (Rom. 16, 7) . Junia was Andronikova's assistant. When Saint Andronicus was appointed bishop of Pannonia, he did not live in one place, but preached the Gospel throughout Pannonia. With St. Junia, he managed to bring many to Christ God and to destroy many idol temples. Both had the benevolent power of miracle-working, they cast out demons and healed the sick. They both suffered for Christ. Their holy relics were found in the Eugenia regions.
Holy Martyr Solokhon. Saint Stephen, Patriarch of Constantinople.
