Calendar for September 19 The miracle of Saint Michael the Archangel
St. John the Theologian prophesied that a source of miraculous water would open near Jerapolje, which was soon fulfilled. A Gentile in Laodicea had a mute daughter. Archangel Michael appeared to him in a dream and told him to take her to the miraculous spring near Jerapolje. When she drinks the water from the miraculous spring, the girl speaks. Then her father and she were baptized, as well as their entire household, and there they built a church dedicated to Archangel Michael. Later, the boy Archippus came to do his penance there. The Gentiles flooded the nearby river to submerge the spring and the church, but according to Archippus' prayer, a chasm opened in the ground into which the river sank, sinking, and they named that place Honi (Sinking). Saint Archippus rested in peace there when he was 70 years old.
