Responding to the fraternal call of His Holiness Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia, His Holiness Patriarch of Serbia, His Holiness Patriarch Porfirije, with members of the holy entourage, consisting of His Eminence Metropolitan of Bačka, His Eminence Irinej, and several clergy and servants of our Church, will travel to Moscow today, where they will stay during Holy Week.

On this occasion, the head of the Serbian Orthodox Church, based on the decision of the academic collegium of the Moscow Theological Academy, headed by the dean, His Eminence Bishop of Sergiyevo-Posad and Dmitrov, Kirill, for his scientific and educational contribution to the development of theological science and the strengthening of ties between the two sister Churches, will be awarded the diploma of Honorary Doctor of Theological Sciences (honoris causa).

On April 25, 2025, the two patriarchs will serve the Divine Liturgy in the Holy Dormition Church of the Trinity-Sergius Lavra. His Holiness Porfiry, with a delegation from the Serbian Patriarchate, will visit the Courtyard of the Serbian Orthodox Church during Holy Week, as well as monasteries and other great shrines of the capital city of the Russian Federation.
