A RELIGIOUS LITURGY WAS HELD IN THE CHURCH OF THE INTERCOURSE OF THE HOLY MOTHER OF GOD ON THE OCCASION OF THE SIXTH ANNIVERSARY OF FATHER MOMO'S DEATH

On the occasion of the sixth anniversary of the repose of Archpriest-stavrophor Momčilo Krivokapić, a reliquary was served this morning in the Church of the Intercession of the Holy Mother of God in Škaljari.

From his father's grave, after the liturgy, the Archbishop's Vicar of Kotor-Tivat, the parish priest of Kotor, Archpriest - stavrophor Nemanja Krivokapić addressed the family members and citizens present.

“Thank you for being with us this morning as we prayerfully remember our dear Father Mom on the anniversary of his repose. We did not just remember him today, but we were with him, because we served the Holy Liturgy. And in the Holy Liturgy we are all together, we are all one, both living and dead,” said Fr. Nemanja, adding that there is no division into the living and the dead, “but we are all alive, because our God is the God of the living.”

God, he continued, is alive because He rose and conquered death and gave life to all in the graves, as is sung in the most joyful troparia.

“That is what we remember in these joyful days, when we celebrate the most joyful holiday of Christ’s Resurrection. That is what we heard in today’s Gospel, the Resurrection Gospel, which testifies again and again that Christ is risen and has brought us eternal life. Today, we also remembered those wonderful words that the risen Christ said to the Myrrh-bearing Women, whom we also celebrate this week: “Do not be afraid, but rejoice.” These are those key and important words that should always ring in our ears, which our dear Father Momo loved to repeat constantly, so that he too rejoices with us today and we all rejoice with him in the risen Christ. Thank you all once again, may the Lord God repay you with goodness. Christ is risen,” said Father Nemanja.
